FOOD AND MANUFACTURING HUB
The new Gulf of Guinea food and manufacturing hub, is designed for grain processing and processing. The project was designed as a turn-key facility, including grain receiving silos, processing building, and processing facilities, up to the bagging of flour and under finished products in a warehouse to distribution throughout the territory. A structure containing the ancillary services of the production plant such as offices and dressing rooms was then built. Thanks to the latest technology of the machinery, the plant can save up to 70% energy, which is moreover very expensive in Benin. The design developed by Climosfera S.r.l. was integral, we developed the sizing of structural elements especially for the storage silos in the presence of soil that needs to be consolidated. Electrical power is supplied in medium voltage and converted through a 2,000 KVA transformer that powers the power center. Back-up power consisting of an 800 KVA diesel-powered generator set also arrives on the power center.
Special care has been taken in water management in an area where the resource is scarce. It is emulsified through a well that loads a reservoir, which supplies the entire treatment and potabilization system until it is put into the production line.
The other systems designed are: smoke detection, data transmission, rainwater and wastewater discharge, and air conditioning of the technical rooms for specific use and offices.
